When to use this calculator
Use this page when a store lists a percent off, or when a coupon stacks a second percent after the first. Enter the list price in US dollars. Leave the extra percent empty when there is only one discount.
Two percents are not added together. Twenty-five percent off, then an extra 10 percent, is not 35 percent off the original price. The second percent applies to the reduced price.
This calculator does not add sales tax. After you have a sale price, you can send that amount to the sales tax calculator if you need tax on top.

- A blank extra percent means only the first discount is applied.
Questions
Are two discounts added as one percent?
No. The first percent reduces the list price. The second percent, if you enter one, reduces that new price.
Can I enter a 100 percent discount?
Yes. A 100 percent first discount produces a sale price of $0.00. Negative prices are rejected next to the field.
